Meet Dr. Ross J. Pulver

Dr. Ross Pulver was raised with an appreciation for importance of excellent patient care. He grew up in Southern California where his father was an oral and maxillofacial surgeon and his mother was a registered nurse. As a youth, Dr. Pulver worked in his father's office along with his mother and sister.

Dr. Pulver received his Bachelor's degree from UCLA and his dental degree from the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco. While in dental school, Dr. Pulver found orthodontics to be the most rewarding specialty in the dental profession. He enjoys the strong patient relationships he can form and the significant increase in self-esteem seen among patients treated by orthodontists.

After dental school, Dr. Pulver attended the prestigious 3-year orthodontic residency at the Texas A&M University, Baylor College of Dentistry, where he learned from many of the great names in the orthodontic profession.

While in dental school and orthodontic residency he earned several prestigious awards including the Frederick T. West Orthodontic Award, Pierre Fauchard Academy Scholarship for Leadership and Academic Success, the Department of Dental Anatomy Gitta Radjaeipour Award for Excellence in Professionalism, and the Department of Anatomical Sciences Certificate of Achievement in Human Anatomy. Additionally, he was elected to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon, Phi Kappa Phi, and Tau Kappa Omega honor societies.

Dr. Pulver enjoys the people and culture of Houston so much so, that after visiting the city during his training in Dallas, he decided to make it his permanent home.

Dr. Pulver enjoys spending time with his family and his Chocolate Labrador, Buckley. He also participates in triathlons and loves cooking.
